Surgen nuevos detalles/rumores sobre la próxima edición de El señor de los anillos en Blu-ray, en la que Warner ya está trabajando. Fuentes de la industria insinúan que las versiones que veremos de las películas de El señor de los anillos películas en Blu-ray, a finales del próximo año 2009, muy probablemente sean las cinematográficas. Y hay una buena razón para ello…El director Peter Jackson quiere esperar y crear unas ediciones especiales para las versiones extendidas en una caja con toda la trilogía de El señor de los anillos en Blu-ray y lanzarla en fechas cercanas el debut cinematográfico de El Hobbit. |

Amazon.com sitúa el lanzamiento de la trilogía (ediciones cinematográficas, por supuesto) el venidero 27 de Noviembre al precio estimado de 83 dólares.

Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Blu-ray Next Year?
New Line Cinema In an interview with Collider.com, director Peter Jackson gave some insight into the upcoming Blu-ray releases of 'The Lord of the Rings'. He was able to not only confirm what we already knew, that the upcoming Blu-ray release of 'The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy' would present the theatrical versions of the films, but also that the Extended Editions of the films would be available on Blu-ray next year.
According to Jackson, the studio has already spoken to him about developing additional extra content for the 'The Lord of the Rings: Extended Edition Trilogy' Blu-ray release. This new content would presumably be added to the content available on the existing 12-disc DVD box set for the Blu-ray release.
It was previously believed that the Extended Edition Blu-ray release would be held back until the theatrical release of 'The Hobbit', but Jackson's remarks seem to indicated otherwise. Time will tell, but to get a release of this magnitude completed in less than a year (assuming they would start after the November 3rd release of 'The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy') may be a little ambitious. |

Ya hay comunicado oficial. El lanzamiento de las ediciones cinematográficas se concretará el 6 de Abril, en el mercado USA, obviamente. Pack conformado presumiblemente por 9 discos -los contenidos adicionales se presentarán en 3 Dvd, cónstese-. http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=3884 |

Pues va a ser una de las grandes decepciones del BD. Que esto ocurriera en los primeros años del Blu-ray podía pasarse por alto (caso El quinto elemento, por ejemplo), pero en pleno 2010 es para matarlos.  |

Se confirma el desastre.
Por un lado las cintas, sobretodo La Comunidad del Anillo, aunque están bien creadas están flojamente rodadas en lo que respecta a calidades, de ahí el abuso del DNR.
Y por el otro lado, mientras que los Dvd los lanzo New Line bajo supervision de Jackson, ahora ha sido Warner Bros de manera directa sin consultar al director.
